At present we offer basic Google searching of THL. Go to the upper right hand side of any web page. If the right hand side menu is showing, you will see the words "Search" and a magnifying glass. Click on either, and a search box will drop down. Put in your search criteria and click on the "search" button. This will perform a basic search of the site via Google. This primarily only searches textual content, and does not search our various databases. If the menu is not showing, you should see the words "Show Menu" in the upper right hand corner of the page just below the "THL Index" tab. Click on those words, and the menu along with the search feature will drop down.
Over 2008-9, we will be gradually adding more options on this search box, so that it can be used to search specific types of objects - places, images, audio-video, and so forth. We will also be implementing and advanced searching feature.
