The International Association of Tibetan Studies (IATS)

The International Association of Tibetan Studies (IATS) is the premier academic association in the world for Tibetan Studies. IATS organizes the world’s major conference for Tibetan Studies every three to four years (see below), the proceedings of which are published in the series Proceedings of the International Association of Tibetan Studies (PIATS; see below). IATS also authorizes and supervises the external link: Journal of the International Association of Tibetan Studies (JIATS), an online journal which has published one to two issues a year since 2005.

The Twelfth Seminar of the IATS was held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, from 15 to 22 August 2010. The Seminar was convened by Professor Tsering Shakya. Any queries you may have should be addressed to Tsering Shakya at iats2010ubc@gmail.com.
