Interactive Map of Sera

Sera is located about two miles north of Lhasa at the foot of the mountains. The monastery occupies a 1/3 square kilometer area (about the size of a large university campus in the US). It is divided into two approximately equal halves by a boulevard called the Jezhung (bye gzhung) or “sand street.”
