Setting up UniRed

Using the download link above, download the appropriate version of the installer. Then double-click on the .exe file and click on "install." For help with setup, see the help page.

Using UniRed

Some of the most useful features of UniRed are:

  • It can be used for both XML and HTML documents
  • The THDL Windows diacritic keyboard is functional within UniRed
  • Supports both UTF-8 and UTF-16

Note: UniRed converts a close smart quote (”) into a character entity, and we have not yet figured out how to correct this.
