Audio-Video Concordancer	To search through transcripts and then display segments from multiple recordings based upon search results in an integrated fashion.	Java, QuickTime		Currently under development by Ed Garrett and not available for use.	None.
Calendar tool	To post events on a calendar.			Open source provided as part of Sakai suite.

Sakai site has documentation; UVa installation has built in help files; THL has its own WIKI help documentation.
Scout Portal Toolkit	To maintain bibliography of Web sites and secondary literature	MYSQL, PHP	PHP 4.0.6 and MySQL 3.23.29. Red Hat Linux 7.3 (full installation) or later is the recommended environment for running SPT, but it also runs on Solaris and OS X servers.	Open Source project developed by University of Wisconsin. See http://scout.wisc.edu/Projects/SPT/. We modified it from a tool for URL management to a tool for dealing with print resources too.	The SPT web site offers downloads and documentation, while our documentation focus on how to do cataloging with SPT. Since we have had to adapt it to work properly on our Website and with Tibetan Unicode, may or may not want to get our installation directly.
Server	The basic server for all data.
Subversion	To enable version archiving and control on all files managed on Server.
TEI.	To markup Essays.	A XML DTD.
Tibetan Language Instructional Unit system	To create Tibetan language instructional units.	XML, XSLT. Uses GDMS DTD.
Tibetan Literary Catalog System	To create deep level catalogs of Tibetan literature as front end for indexing the actual texts and associated resources.	XML-XSLT; uses custom made DTD. Searching indexing currently being decided.
TrackPlus	To enable workflow management at a very granular, task-based level.
Translation tool	To break Tibetan passages into component words and deliver corresponding English definitions from multiple dictionaries.	Java
VRML	To display three dimensional structures on the Web.
WIKI	To enable participants to collaboratively work on documents.			Open source provided as part of Sakai suite.
Zoomifier	To display high resolution photos with low res front end that can be zoomed in on to access high resolution of specific areas of the image.
