THL Projects Overview

THL is a technological infrastructure and social network for creating, revising, and publishing content from a wide variety of projects. These projects are based around the world but use THL technologies for managing and publishing content. Projects can focus on content rather than technology, while taking advantage of content from other THL-published projects and collaborative resources. THL also publishes the more centralized THL Collaborative Repositories, which can theoretically accept input from anyone with appropriate content. These repositories – images, audio-video, bibliographies, dictionary terms, and more – can be consulted in their own right and used within thematic projects. THL technologies themselves are a series of interlinked technical projects directed by THL staff, UVa staff, and volunteers around the world.

Please consult a list of select projects in the THL Projects Inventory. THL is publishing a projects at www.thlib.org as it continues to migrate its old publications from THDL into the new format and repositories. We have published the Tibetan Literary Encyclopedia, the Tibetan Historical Dictionary, the Knowledge Maps, the Place Dictionary, and more. Visit us week by week to see the transformations.
