Summary

Nalendra is a single monastery strongly associated with the Tsarpa (tshar pa) order of the Sakya. It is not clear the extent to which this was considered a distinct sub-sect or simply a monastery within the Sakya tradition with a distinctive reputation. (Ronald Davidson – June 21, 2004)
