Summary

The Tsarpa (tshar pa) order is an offshoot of the Ngor sub-sect of the Sakya, but doesn't extend far beyond a single monastery. Above all else it represents a distinctive tradition of the Path and the Fruit (lam 'bras), including the well-known distinction between the "assembly exegesis" (tshogs bshad) and "student exegesis" (slob bshad) traditions of the Path and the Fruit.
