Creating Web-viewable Derivatives of Images of dpe cha Pages for Catalogs

For catalogs in the literary collections that have dpe cha page scans associated with them. No thumbnail (120px GIF) need be created because such an image would be too small to be of any use. Instead a single JPG is created and because of the length of such pages, the wide side of the JPG should fall between 1000px and 1300px. As of this writing the only published images of dpe cha pages that we have are those in the Collected Tantras of the Ancients (rnying ma rgyud 'bum). Those pages have a width of 1150px. You can view an example through the external link: page viewer.

The original scans for dpe cha page images should be done according to the processing specifications described in Technically Processing Images. Accounting for the difference in size of the derivative JPGs and the fact that no thumbnail image is needed, the process for creating such derrivatives is the same as described in Creating Web-Viewable Derivatives of Images for Image Database.
