This section describes how to create electronic versions of scholarly essays, which range from general thematic essays to critical editions and translations. The process of creating digital versions of these scholarly products involves converting a properly marked up Word document into XML markup, using a THL-created conversion macro. It includes general documentation on markup in both Word and XML, as well as documentation of the specifics for marking up translations, marking up text- or chapter-summaries, and scanning text folios.
