The Tibetan Geotourism Portal is driven by the participation of many volunteers from all aspects of the tourism process - residents, tourists, students, teachers, tour guides, hotel owners, and much more. Join the revolution by participating in the development of the Portal's content and social networks!
We want to get tourists involved both so they feel the portal is their "own", and as part of our "distributed knowledge" agenda where we respect the type of knowledge they can produce and share as a community.
There are various ways we can explore this, but we have to watch out for (i) avoiding political commentary as well as just wasted trivial messages, and (ii) don't expect a non-existant staff is going to act as gatekeepers filtering and reshaping contribution. Let the Starfish do its work, but be ready to surgically intervene!
