UVa's present installation of Sakai is version 2.3 and is branded as "Collab". Sakai is an initiative by higher education institutions to create a suite of course management and collaborative tools that can be freely used. The intention is to that the various partners will develop Sakai over time, each year adding new tools and improvements to existing tools. THL uses UVa's Sakai installation for much of its workflow management.
